Pierre Balmain had a super hero t-shirt so I had to pick it up from Shopbop. I love t-shirts and this was a great find since it’s perfect for the hot weather in Malaysia. I’ve always been a fan of Pierre Balmain for it’s street edge and comfortable look. It was a perfect t-shirt to pair with my Zara faux leather skirt that I picked up this spring. Let me just tell you it was scorching hot that day and I felt as though I was literally melting in the middle of KLCC. Once we were outside I knew I had to go back inside KLCC where it’s always super cold from the full blast AC’s. But the cold air feels refreshing when it’s scorching hot outside. But after a few minutes in the AC, it starts to get chilly. Hence why it’s always smart to bring a pullover for the cold frigid air. It’s a constant battle of the climate from frigid ac to scorching hot weather here. Blue on Blue
I need coffee in my life, so during the weekend I always try to scour places in Malaysia that has great coffee. It was a hot scorching day in Malaysia and I needed my caffeine fix and as you can tell I’m quite enjoying my iced Americano. I was content for the day now that I had my fix and it was time for me to enjoy the sunny warm weather that Malaysia has to offer. It’s a far cry from the current weather in Malaysia, which is hazey due to the old farming techniques of burning the fields in Indonesia. If only I was able to rewind back to this day where I was able to enjoy the bright sun and crystal blue sky. Hence why my outfit is basically blue on blue as well as my YSL jewelry of Turquoise blue to normal blue. Glam Malaysia
So, I was able to follow my friend to another shoot for a Malaysian Magazine called Glam. I was very excited for Aina since she will be in 2 publications for the month of March. Once we entered the studio for hair, make-up and accessories there were other personalities that were getting glammed up. I was drooling over all the shoes and clothes that were displayed and ready to be styled for all the girls. I fell in love with the Burberry studded coat and I just wanted to take the Celine shoes home with me. I had to really refrain myself from trying on all the cloths, shoes and accessories they prepared for all the girls. Can I say I just died when I saw the Celine reptile shoes and I was so happy that they were going to put Aina head to toe in Celine.
Backless Dress in Bali
Can I just say I need to go back to Bali. I need to go back there as soon as possible please. I’m just thankful that it’s only a 3 hour plane ride from Malaysia. Bali definitely reminded me of Hawaii, but less commercialized or at least in the area we were staying in. I had an amazing time exploring the island and it was great that we had a driver for the day to take us around the island and give us a tour. We initially stopped Tanah Lot Temple and let me just tell you it’s breathtaking and a big tourist stop. The temple is one out of seven temples along the Balinese coast. Supposedly the myth that surrounds the temple is that poisonous sea snakes guards the temple from evil spirit and intruders. As we venture on, our guide takes us to an awesome Balinese seafood restaurant and we ate till our heart’s content. By the end of our tours we met our driver’s cousin who happens to own a surf shop. Hubby and I hung out with him and his friends and it was a very relaxing moment.

Harper Bazaar Malaysia
Yay! Congrats to Aina for getting a spread in Harper Bazaar Malaysia. She asked me if I was interested in coming with her to the shoot and I jumped at the chance. Who wouldn’t want to see the behind the scene action of what goes on during a fashion photo shoot for a major magazine. It was an exciting event for her and as well as for me… I even got to help style her outfit. I’ve always been fascinated with all the work that goes into all the beautiful magazine pages and here was my chance. As a friend I was so happy and proud of her that she was one of the lucky ladies to be featured in the Style and the City Segment. Let met just tell you, Aina was a pro when it came down to getting her photos taken. Not only did she look amazing but she was humble about her whole experience.
Homemade Saris
If anyone was to visit Bali, you’ll notice that Sari’s are everywhere in all the clothing stores and markets. So it was interesting when I was able to visit a workstation / store that sold handmade Saris. It was interesting to watch every fabric weaved together with the weaver and artist hand painting scenic backgrounds onto silk fabrics. It amazes me how all the employees were able to work in such excruciating heat without any air conditioning while concentrating on all their work. Every piece produced was beautiful and unique since they were all handmade. The Sari’s were literally a piece of art worn as a dress, cover up, skirt or a scarf. It was definitely a great souvenir for me to take back home to remember a little piece of Bali. (Tank and Shorts: Zara, Shirt: All-Son, Backpack: Alexander Wang)
Black – My Staple Piece
So my favorite staple piece is anything that is black. When the hubby informed me that we had to attend a Christmas Party at his co-worker’s place I wore what I normally wear. Anything black!!!! I decided that I needed to add a hint of color to the outfit since it was a festive party and not a funeral so I used my jewelry and shoes to add some contrast. I’ve tried to add colors to my wardrobe but it’s a hard habit to kick.

Tree T-Shirt? Why not….
I love wearing t-shirts, especially if they’re soft and comfy. I’m a sucker for comfy wear, but who isn’t? However, since moving to Malaysia I’ve been more casual then I was before. It might be the constant warm weather and also just being lazy since I’m usually cooped up at home. I fell in love with this t-shirt when I found it out at my friend’s store Moon Voyage. If by any chance you’re in Chicago, this definitely is a place to stop by for great finds. I love this t-shirt because not only can I wear it as a dress but I could pair it with shorts/pants. I love anything that is versatile.

Jeremy Scott x Adidas
I have to remind myself to wear my sneakers more often. The only problem with white sneakers is that I just don’t want them to get dirty. If anyone knows me, I’m the biggest clutz so there’s a 100% chance they will somehow eventually get ruined. I was so happy when I got my hands on the Jeremy Scott Adidas Sneakers. I love some of his pieces so these kicks were a nice piece to add to my Jeremy Scott collection. These sneakers remind me of my high school days when my friends and I would wear Adidas sneakers with baggy pants, listening to hip hop and hanging out at the mall. Don’t these sneakers remind you of the 80’s era of the RUN DMC time? I love it!!! *haha* I love that I could pair the sneakers up with my dress and be comfy while heading out to lunch. Hello from Singapore
Hello from Singapore!!! Hubby had a business trip to Singapore so I decided to tag along. Why not since hotel was free, airfare was fairly cheap and I wanted to see my new home in a few months. I immediately fell in love with Singapore as we drove from the airport to Marina Bay because it reminded me of driving on Lake Shore drive in Chicago. Also, I really liked how clean everything was, their convenient public transportation and overall safe feeling. When hubby was finally free from his busy schedule we ventured out to Orchard Road to do a little window shopping. Orchard Road was decorated with Christmas trees and lights, which still feels very strange to me since it’s over 90 degrees outside. It’s definitely an adjustment for me to walk outside with sandals and a tank top while all the windows displays are adorned with Christmas decorations. The Chicago girl in me is so used to freezing temperatures, snow on the ground, winter jackets and moon boots.
