Rag and Bone Miramar Jeans

I’ve been scoping these jeans online in for awhile since it first came out. I wanted the jeans but I needed to see the item first prior to purchasing it and since I live in Malaysia it was hard for me to physically see a pair since not many places carry Rag & Bone here. During my visit back at home in Chicago I found the Miramar Jeans. I was so excited that I literally was jumping for joy when I found them at Intermix. I was hesitant at first to purchase the pair but once I tried them on I knew I had to get them. These jeans were a must have purchase for me. Rag and Bone I give you my heart for making these ridiculous comfortable jeans. Who would’ve thought of digitally printing a pair of jeans onto a pair of sweatpants. I could literally wear these everywhere and no one would have guessed that I was wearing a pair of sweat pants on. Love Love these jeans!

Lovers + Friends

I was one unhappy camper when I attempted to check out a new restaurant for brunch. It was closed for Sunday! *haha* Can you tell by my expression, how unhappy I was? I was really craving some sort of american breakfast food and brunch is my all time favorite meal when I was living in Chicago. So I was really looking forward to checking out the place since it was a westernized restaurant that also serves bloody marys. Epic fail. Thank goodness it was Hubby to the rescue and we found a great Dim Sum place. The next best thing I enjoy for brunch is Dim Sum so back to a happy wife. However, I surprised myself by not getting my dress dirty during my meal. *woo hoo* If anyone knows me, some parts of my meal usually ends up in my hair or on my clothes by the time I’m finished eating. So you can imagine how surprised I was when I came out undamaged. Plus, I would have been heart broken if I got the Lovers + Friends dress dirty. Can I just tell you I love this dress! I found this great dress again at my friends store Moonvoyage! This dress had me at Hello when I found out it had pockets. I love dresses that has pockets hence why I had to get it. If only it came in other colors. I would definitely get a black one in a heartbeat. Happy Chinese New Years!

So in Malaysia Chinese New Years is a big festive season. From what I’ve been told by other people, Chinese New Years is a big holiday in Malaysia because of the mass population of Chinese that resides in Malaysia, which is a melting pot of other asian ethnicities. The celebration is almost a week long of eating, celebrating and spending time with friends and family. Bright pink flowers and red lanterns are adorn everywhere we go. I never knew that Chinese New Years was such a big festive season in Asia. Hey I wouldn’t have minded celebrating New Years twice if they celebrated it this big in the States. Hubby and I decided to go shopping in downtown KL at Pavillion to do a little shopping but I was far too fascinated by all the pretty decorations in and outside the mall. This year 0f 2014 is the year of the horse which hopefully will bring those good luck =) Happy Chinese New Years! Do you like my Fob Pose? *haha* Happy Chinese New Years!

OC – Opening Ceremony and a pop of Green

When I was in NYC I found this dress at Opening Ceremony and I immediately fell in love. The dress was a past season of Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony. The dress drew me in because of the cutout pattern on top but also because it could be worn as a shirt. With a quick turn of the zipper the dress turns into a top, voila! It was a no brainer for me to purchase this because I knew how versatile it was. Now if only I could transport myself back to NYC so I could find some other good finds at Opening Ceremony. I never come home empty handed when I go in. I’m just grateful that they have a store in Japan since I’m living in Asia now. Next on my bucket list is to check out Japan. Hat kind of day

So I had one of those days where I felt lazy and didn’t want to do anything. I just wanted to eat and be a bum. Who doesn’t have those days right? The only problem is I want to do that everyday. Lately, all I could think about is food. What is wrong with me? So I dragged my lazy a** up and convinced my hubby that I needed to get some dessert. I especially wanted Pot Bing Soo (korean shaved ice) and a green tea latte. Crazy as it sounds I needed to fufill my craving for Pot Bing Soo before eating lunch. Not only did I just want to eat everything but my laziness did not want to get ready to go out and get it. If only I could snap my fingers and have the food appear in front of me to my disposal *sigh* So the next best thing to do is to put on comfy clothes, throw on some shades and put on a hat. That’s how lazy I got =) However in the end I was one happy camper. My cravings were fully satisfied… Mission accomplished. Miu Miu Event

Woo Hoo!!! I was so excited when I got an invitation to the Miu Miu Event at the Pavillion. My friend was sweet and thoughtful and got me invited to this event. I’m impressed with simplicity so I loved that the invitation was handwritten on the envelope. It’s just little things that make a difference. The event was filled with free flow of Champagne and a beautiful DJ/host spinning throughout the night to keep all the patrons happy and bubbly. I met some great people including well known make-up artists as well as Malaysian designers. The event was filled with beautiful people from the fashion industry, Miu Miu clients, bloggers, PR’s and celebrities. Since I’m still fairly new to the country, I was very excited to meet some of these people. Miu Miu’s beautiful clothes, bags and shoes were elegantly displayed throughout the store for everyone to marvel at. Who wouldn’t want to wear the beautiful crystal heels sandals or the drop dead gorgeous heels with notes splattered everywhere. I loved that each guest was given a goodie bag that included a cupcake shaped as one of Miu Miu’s new Spring/Summer bag. Mmmmm… let me just tell you the cupcake was yummy. Even though I had some reservations eating such a cute cupcake.

Black – My Staple Piece

So my favorite staple piece is anything that is black. When the hubby informed me that we had to attend a Christmas Party at his co-worker’s place I wore what I normally wear. Anything black!!!! I decided that I needed to add a hint of color to the outfit since it was a festive party and not a funeral so I used my jewelry and shoes to add some contrast. I’ve tried to add colors to my wardrobe but it’s a hard habit to kick.

Tree T-Shirt? Why not….

I love wearing t-shirts, especially if they’re soft and comfy. I’m a sucker for comfy wear, but who isn’t? However, since moving to Malaysia I’ve been more casual then I was before. It might be the constant warm weather and also just being lazy since I’m usually cooped up at home. I fell in love with this t-shirt when I found it out at my friend’s store Moon Voyage. If by any chance you’re in Chicago, this definitely is a place to stop by for great finds. I love this t-shirt because not only can I wear it as a dress but I could pair it with shorts/pants. I love anything that is versatile.

Staple black wax pants

If anyone were to ask me what my favorite staple pieces are, my answer would be anything black, fur or leather. However, since moving to Malaysia, I would look insane wearing my big faux fur coat since it’s tropical weather year round. It was quite an adjustment for me since I love fall/winter clothes. I’m slowly trying to accept the idea that I can’t wear leather and fur but I will find a way to wear it here and for it to be acceptable. However I am grateful that I did not have to give up my black waxed jeans. Woo Hoo!!!! The wax jeans look as though I’m wearing leather without the side effect trapping my body heat that comes with actually wearing one. I’ve slowly adjusted to the sunny warm weather and I can comfortably wear pants without feeling like I’m melting. It also helps that many of the indoor places blast their AC so it’s convenient when I wear jeans or pants.

Jeremy Scott x Adidas

I have to remind myself to wear my sneakers more often. The only problem with white sneakers is that I just don’t want them to get dirty. If anyone knows me, I’m the biggest clutz so there’s a 100% chance they will somehow eventually get ruined. I was so happy when I got my hands on the Jeremy Scott Adidas Sneakers. I love some of his pieces so these kicks were a nice piece to add to my Jeremy Scott collection. These sneakers remind me of my high school days when my friends and I would wear Adidas sneakers with baggy pants, listening to hip hop and hanging out at the mall. Don’t these sneakers remind you of the 80’s era of the RUN DMC time? I love it!!! *haha* I love that I could pair the sneakers up with my dress and be comfy while heading out to lunch.
