I had the opportunity to attend Singapore Fashion Week this year and I was super excited. I’ve only experienced Fashion Week in NYC so I was curious to what the vibe was going to be like in Singapore. During my stay I was able to attend Blue Print, a trade show for East West Exchange in Asia. Emerging designers and established designers are allowed to showcase their current pieces for the Asian market in one big stop. They had designers from Korea, Hong Kong and Europe, to name a few, displaying beautiful pieces of jewelry to eccentric hats to wear to high tea. This is a great place for store owners and on-line entrepreneurs to find great new designers and new items for their inventory. I loved the vibe of the trade show filled with buyers, fashionistas and press who were all on the go checking out what the designers had in store for them. So hubby and I decided to treat ourselves to a foot massage during the weekend. Why not since an hour foot massage is only $15.00 USD. Of course before our journey to the Chinese Massage joint I had to grab a cup of coffee to get my day started. Since it was Sunday, I was already in my lazy mode so I decided to wear my oh so comfy shorts that I purchased at a market place in Bali. I fell in love with the shorts because of the little pom poms at the ends of the shorts and plus it only cost me $10.00. It was hard for me not to resist. Can’t ask for a better relaxing weekend. Well the Rag and Bone Miramar were my staple jeans while I was in Chicago, I basically wore them everyday. Why wouldn’t I, they’re so comfortable and I love that they’re sweats. Now… I just wish the weather was nice and sunny, however I’m in Chicago where the weather is unpredictable. I’m grateful that it’s at least warm enough to go outside without a jacket. Now I just need some sun and greenery here.

Touchdown! I’m back home in Chicago for a month. I was so excited to come home and see my friends and family. I also missed eating at M Henry, one of my favorite brunch places. Gorging on great food, what more can a girl ask for? It was nice to come back home and eat the yummy American brunch food. For some reason it’s been hard for me to find a great brunch spot while in Asia. I’ll be continuing my search for that amazing brunch place when we move to Singapore since my time in Malaysia was only for a year. My search will still continue, who knows maybe I’ll find that perfect brunch spot. I’m a Chicago girl, born and raised, so I’m used to the cold weather since I lived here all my life. However, since moving abroad where it’s summer all year round, it’s been an adjustment coming back home. Who knew I became such a wuss and could not handle that cold frigid air. However the perks to coming back home was wearing my fall/winter clothes again =) (Skirt: All Saints Similar; Boots: Acne Similar; T-shirt: Acne; Sweater: Community; Jacket: MM6; Bag: Alexander Wang; Jewelry: Pamela Love)
I’ve been scoping these jeans online in for awhile since it first came out. I wanted the jeans but I needed to see the item first prior to purchasing it and since I live in Malaysia it was hard for me to physically see a pair since not many places carry Rag & Bone here. During my visit back at home in Chicago I found the Miramar Jeans. I was so excited that I literally was jumping for joy when I found them at Intermix. I was hesitant at first to purchase the pair but once I tried them on I knew I had to get them. These jeans were a must have purchase for me. Rag and Bone I give you my heart for making these ridiculous comfortable jeans. Who would’ve thought of digitally printing a pair of jeans onto a pair of sweatpants. I could literally wear these everywhere and no one would have guessed that I was wearing a pair of sweat pants on. Love Love these jeans!
Pierre Balmain had a super hero t-shirt so I had to pick it up from Shopbop. I love t-shirts and this was a great find since it’s perfect for the hot weather in Malaysia. I’ve always been a fan of Pierre Balmain for it’s street edge and comfortable look. It was a perfect t-shirt to pair with my Zara faux leather skirt that I picked up this spring. Let me just tell you it was scorching hot that day and I felt as though I was literally melting in the middle of KLCC. Once we were outside I knew I had to go back inside KLCC where it’s always super cold from the full blast AC’s. But the cold air feels refreshing when it’s scorching hot outside. But after a few minutes in the AC, it starts to get chilly. Hence why it’s always smart to bring a pullover for the cold frigid air. It’s a constant battle of the climate from frigid ac to scorching hot weather here. I need coffee in my life, so during the weekend I always try to scour places in Malaysia that has great coffee. It was a hot scorching day in Malaysia and I needed my caffeine fix and as you can tell I’m quite enjoying my iced Americano. I was content for the day now that I had my fix and it was time for me to enjoy the sunny warm weather that Malaysia has to offer. It’s a far cry from the current weather in Malaysia, which is hazey due to the old farming techniques of burning the fields in Indonesia. If only I was able to rewind back to this day where I was able to enjoy the bright sun and crystal blue sky. Hence why my outfit is basically blue on blue as well as my YSL jewelry of Turquoise blue to normal blue.
