Blue Print in Singapore

I had the opportunity to attend Singapore Fashion Week this year and I was super excited. I’ve only experienced Fashion Week in NYC so I was curious to what the vibe was going to be like in Singapore. During my stay I was able to attend Blue Print, a trade show for East West Exchange in Asia. Emerging designers and established designers are allowed to showcase their current pieces for the Asian market in one big stop. They had designers from Korea, Hong Kong and Europe, to name a few, displaying beautiful pieces of jewelry to eccentric hats to wear to high tea. This is a great place for store owners and on-line entrepreneurs to find great new designers and new items for their inventory. I loved the vibe of the trade show filled with buyers, fashionistas and press who were all on the go checking out what the designers had in store for them. Bali Shorts

So hubby and I decided to treat ourselves to a foot massage during the weekend. Why not since an hour foot massage is only $15.00 USD. Of course before our journey to the Chinese Massage joint I had to grab a cup of coffee to get my day started. Since it was Sunday, I was already in my lazy mode so I decided to wear my oh so comfy shorts that I purchased at a market place in Bali. I fell in love with the shorts because of the little pom poms at the ends of the shorts and plus it only cost me $10.00. It was hard for me not to resist. Can’t ask for a better relaxing weekend. A Day at the Park

Well the Rag and Bone Miramar were my staple jeans while I was in Chicago, I basically wore them everyday. Why wouldn’t I, they’re so comfortable and I love that they’re sweats. Now… I just wish the weather was nice and sunny, however I’m in Chicago where the weather is unpredictable. I’m grateful that it’s at least warm enough to go outside without a jacket. Now I just need some sun and greenery here.

Moon Voyage =)

Welcome to Moon Voyage! One of my favorite stores in Chicago. What is there not to like about this store. It has everything from something new to great vintage finds curated by Susie Lee. The store has amazing finds from fun facial and makeup from Korea to homemade terrariums made by her fiance. You could also find great designers like Lovers and Friends and Mary Meyers. The layout and the displays are amazing since they are made with love from some of her friends, ie: the fabulous jewelry case and counter! This store has a laid back feel where one could feel like they’re shopping right from home. I never come home empty handed once I step into Moon Voyage, either shopping from their cool jewelry curated by Susie or some of her designer pieces like Fallon. It’s also my favorite destinations for summer outfits from fun flowery summer dress to comfy jumpers. If anyone is ever in Chicago, you have to stop by Moon Voyage and have fun shopping =)

Back Home in Chicago

Touchdown! I’m back home in Chicago for a month. I was so excited to come home and see my friends and family. I also missed eating at M Henry, one of my favorite brunch places. Gorging on great food, what more can a girl ask for? It was nice to come back home and eat the yummy American brunch food. For some reason it’s been hard for me to find a great brunch spot while in Asia. I’ll be continuing my search for that amazing brunch place when we move to Singapore since my time in Malaysia was only for a year. My search will still continue, who knows maybe I’ll find that perfect brunch spot. I’m a Chicago girl, born and raised, so I’m used to the cold weather since I lived here all my life. However, since moving abroad where it’s summer all year round, it’s been an adjustment coming back home. Who knew I became such a wuss and could not handle that cold frigid air. Rag and Bone Miramar Jeans

I’ve been scoping these jeans online in for awhile since it first came out. I wanted the jeans but I needed to see the item first prior to purchasing it and since I live in Malaysia it was hard for me to physically see a pair since not many places carry Rag & Bone here. During my visit back at home in Chicago I found the Miramar Jeans. I was so excited that I literally was jumping for joy when I found them at Intermix. I was hesitant at first to purchase the pair but once I tried them on I knew I had to get them. These jeans were a must have purchase for me. Rag and Bone I give you my heart for making these ridiculous comfortable jeans. Who would’ve thought of digitally printing a pair of jeans onto a pair of sweatpants. I could literally wear these everywhere and no one would have guessed that I was wearing a pair of sweat pants on. Love Love these jeans!

Grey White and Black

I have one more month till I depart from my big spacious condo in Malaysia. I’m so sad that I’ll be leaving our place that I could finally call home after living here for a year. I will definitely miss our spacious home after searching for a new place to live in Singapore. I can’t believe how time flies. Now the question in mind is how are we going to fit all our furniture in our small living space when we move. I know for one thing, I’ll still be keeping our color scheme of grey, white and black for our livingroom. Ahhh!!!! I’m going to miss living in a big spacious home. *sigh* Oh well, I just have to suck it up and appreciate our new place once we find it =)

Jeremy Scott x Adidas

I was excited to head back home to Chicago so as a tribute I decided wear my Adidas Bulls Jersey that I haven’t worn in awhile. Then I figured a great way to pair the Jersey up was with my Jeremy Scott x Adidas Bear shoes. One would think that at a certain age I would get over stuffed animals and anything cute but for some reason I can’t. A couple of years ago when I saw these shoes I knew I had to get it. These shoes are not something that I’m able to wear often, but I always get the crazy stares once I’m in public wearing them. Jeremy Scott is a designer known for his crazy style and bright colors. His collaboration with Adidas always has a carefree “I don’t care” feel and it’s definitely a style that I can appreciate. Fashion is supposed to be fun and a great way to express yourself right? OakNYC – Black T-Shirt Dress

I love simple outfits, mainly because it usually guarantees me being comfortable with what I’m wearing. I fell in love with this Oak NYC t-shirt when I purchased it in NY. This dress is my go to outfit if I just want to lounge around and be lazy. Since it was the weekend I had to complete my laziness with my Birkenstocks since I’ve been living in these sandals while living in Malaysia. Haha. Who knew I would be on my second pair by now. Hippie meets Graffiti

I love finding graffiti artwork everywhere I go. Some may call graffiti an act of vandalism but I see it as an individual’s artistic expression. After having brunch with the hubby in Bangsar, we stumbled upon an alley with a whole bunch of graffiti that I had to see. It was a perfect opportunity to take a pictures for my blog. I loved the contrast of patterns with my Winter Kate Kimono top and the colorful graffiti behind me. I wish I had some artistic talent and put it to use. *sigh* I guess the next best thing is for me to appreciate artwork in any shape, type and form.
