We had visitors. I was so excited to see my friends from Chicago. It gets lonely living in another country and not having friends and family around.  My hubby and I wanted to show them a good time and eat all the amazing food during their stay.  So one of the places we wanted to show them was an Indian Temple in Malaysia called Batu Caves. It has a beautiful gold hindu statue in front of the site. The craziest thing about Batu Caves are the monkeys that just roam around while walking up the steep 272 steps up to the cave entrance.  I pre-warned them that the thieves at Batu Caves are not humans but the monkeys and to watch their belongings. As we’re walking up the stairs, we saw a Monkey attempt to steal a lady’s plastic bag. It was a tug of war for a couple of minutes between the monkey and the lady with the lady winning in the end. However, the monkey was one unhappy camper.  Let me just tell you an angry monkey is a scary monkey. I’ve never seen a monkey hiss and growl at someone and watching it happen right in front of you was not a fun experience.  I was able to introduce my new Malaysian friends to my Chicago friends which turned into a great evening with non stop of chitchat of what the culture is like in Malaysia and in the States. It was fun trying new fruits such as Durian and  checking out a new restaurant called Fatty Crab. I would highly recommend Fatty Crab to anyone that visits Malaysia. The crab, fried rice and chicken wings were amazing! No exaggeration there. I still think about our meal at Fatty Crab and my mouth still waters. Whatever ingredients they put in the sauce for the crab is seriously AMAZING! I dipped my wings, bread and poured it over my fried rice. So Delicious! I’m so sad they left but so happy they came and visit. I’ll see you guys soon back in Chicago when we come back for a visit. Hope you enjoyed the picture diary. =)
